The Weight Loss Cure The Dieting Industry Do Not Want You To Know
We all want to know just what is the weight loss cure. Many people buying goji juice thought it was. Most found out it wasn't. We go from diet to diet product to product never finding that cure. But in order to find a cure we need to know what really is it, thats making us fat. There are a lot of us over weight. In fact in the western world over two thirds of us are. Globally the World Health Organization says there are over 1 billion people over weight and growing, pardon the pun. They coined a word for it "Globesity" Being over weight would not be that big a problem if it were not for the huge health risks associated with it. Pancreatic cancer and Type 2 Diabetes topping the list. How did we get this way? I'm not sure we can blame too much food for that because for most of us we think we eat better now than we thought we did 20 or 30 years ago.  Back then most of us never worried about what we ate much less search for a weight loss cure. If we got heavy, we ate less, exercised more and lost it. I know what your saying! I was younger I could do that. Ok maybe true. So why does an over weight 20 year old today have to work twice as hard to keep the weight off than I did at a that age or even a child for that matter. There were no health foods on the grocery shelves and the diet pills then could kill you. To understand what might be going on here lets go through the old reasons we are over weight and obese, then lets learn a new one that must of been around since the beginning of our time on earth.
The old causes of weight gain
1. Genetics - Obesity does run in families. Knowing it does, families often do not adjust diets to compensate for this reality and even when they do the results are not what should be expected.2. Environment - These are the choices we make as to what we eat and the physical activity we have time for or as part of our jobs. We eat too many high-carbohydrate and high-fat foods.We often have to put cost and convenience ahead of nutrition. 3. Psychologic - More and more these days people eat when their bored, and when their sad, or angry. This is getting close to the real cause of over weight and obesity and these are the results in some people. 4. Stress - Bingo! Answer to the weight loss cureI believe stress-related weight gain is the number one cause of obesity in our society today. We all face stress whether we realize it or not. When chronic your adrenal glands overproduce the hormone cortisol.

Our stress today is emotional and mostly associated with rush and worry of our everyday living. Who can truly say they are relaxed and worry free most of the day? When stress free, normal production of this hormone will:Allow proper glucose metabolism Regulate blood pressure Help control Insulin release for blood sugar levels Help proper Immune function Control Inflammatory responses Our bodies response to rush and worry has always been the same since the beginning of man. A burst of cortisal gave early man the ability to kill for food or keep from being eaten for food and worry about starvation helped him get though time of little food by storing fat in times of plenty.  However for many people, day to day stresses are triggering a contant overproduction of cortisal similar to the bursts needed by early man to survive. Too much when the body doesn't need it will: Activate fat-storage hormones Convert protein in the body to sugar and fat Stop the secretion of your fat-burning hormone HGH (human growth hormone) Increase 'apple-type' abdominal fat Increase your cravings for sweet and fatty foods Then the key is to reduce stress. Not an easy task since most people do not realize how stress has increased throughout their life since childhood.
The asian weight loss cure?
So what is the weight loss cure? We are blessed with a Model T body in a Ferrari world. Relieving stress seems to be the answer right? Hard to do these days and most people don't feel stressed because they never remembered at time when they weren't. For more than a thousand years, traditional Asian healers have been addressing the problem by using certain herbs that help the body to adapt to stress. Called adaptogens the goji berry is said to have adaptogen properties. Can it be useful for reducing mental and emotional stress? Much more solid research needs to be done on this subject. In-house clinical studies by the manufacturers of various Goji products are not the type of studies we need to find the weight loss cure.
